Looking out at the breathtaking landscape of poor grammer and spelling mistakes

This blog started very spontaneously as a way to document, mostly for myself, how well I will succeed or how terribly I’ll fail at my quest to move away from Big Tech. I didn’t put much thought into it and assuming almost nobody will ever read this (partially because I will not be sharing it anywhere on social media and the other spots that I’m actively trying to get away from). So, I’m just kinda hitting the keyboard and running with it. No ‘going back’ and editing. No concerns..well few concerns about spelling or how well the sentence flows or looks or sounds or for goodness sake ‘how many characters’ it is. How refreshing it is to be writing for myself again.

I’ve never been a fan of AI for creative purposes. I used to think that it could be a good sounding board, but I no longer support AI as any kind of creative tool. Let’s remember too it’s based on the unauthorized theft of basically all data and work created by humankind.

My heart implodes when I think of the thousands, millions of young people who are looking for their creative ways and turn to ChatGPT or other AI to help them write or create in other ways. AI is a passive-aggressive Narcissist that will destroy your creative talent, squash you into a corner and you may never get out.

We’ve heard things like. Be Yourself. Let’s add to it: Be Human.
